The path will run along the Slepian water system, its length will be 12 km. It will pass through the Leninsky, Zavodsky, Partizansky, and Pervomaysky districts of the capital.
The previously published draft General Plan of Minsk until 2030 mentioned the creation of a continuous network of pedestrian and bicycle paths on all streets, squares, boulevards, parks, and public gardens. Both the construction of separate bicycle paths and the designation of bicycle lanes on roads are planned.
The Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Vladimir Kukharev, announced that 80 km of bicycle paths should appear in Minsk in the coming years.
