According to him, there is now a relative lull in the conflict with Iran: "And the question is: what to do? Trump says: "Well, we've already bombed everything there, there's nothing for us to do there." This is already an attempt to get out of this situation."
"And Donald Trump is right here. This is the best option," said Alexander Lukashenka. "Let them say that they have already bombed everything there. But get out (of the war). Because it will get worse later," he added.
Lukashenka also advised the U.S. to release Nicolas Maduro.
"Release Maduro or find some diplomatic solution. If necessary, we are ready to help in this regard, they dragged us into this," he said.
Nicolas Maduro and his wife were captured on January 3 during a U.S. special operation in Caracas and brought to the U.S. They will be tried on charges of illegal drug and arms trafficking. It was previously reported that the first court hearing should take place in mid-March.
