Belarusian-language translation of a monograph on the Grand Duchy of Lithuania presented in Poland
All interested are invited to attend the first and, possibly, only presentation of the Belarusian translation of Krzysztof Pietkiewicz's monograph "The Grand Duchy of Lithuania under the Rule of Alexander Jagiellon. A Study of the History of State and Society at the Turn of the 15th-16th Centuries" with the author's participation.

Krzysztof Pietkiewicz is one of the best specialists in the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, a professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
This monograph is the first attempt in historiography at a synthetic outline of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania under the rule of monarch Alexander Jagiellon.
The book explores:
- peculiarities of the administrative-territorial system of the GDL;
- confessional, financial, and economic policies of the GDL;
- activities of the most important state bodies of the GDL;
- list of representatives of the state elite of the GDL.
The book explores topics such as the activities of the GDL's chancellery, its internal structure, and the formation of its political elite.
