Minsk mini-bus fare, which was supposed to rise to five rubles, will cost less
Last week it became known that metropolitan mini-bus №1183 ("Autazavodskaya" — "Zhdanovichy") would increase the fare by 43% at once: from three rubles 50 kopecks to 5 rubles.

After this, the carrier became of interest to the tax service and the Transport Inspectorate. And here's the result: the mini-bus fare will cost four rubles, "Minsk-News" writes.
The relevant authorities investigated whether the fare increase was justified. Because prices for route taxis in the city are regulated, and the profitability of transportation should not exceed 15%.
— As part of the monitoring of the tariff increase for mini-bus 1183, unjustified increases in expense items were identified. From March 4, the mini-bus fare has been reduced from 5 to 4 rubles. Based on the results of the first five months of this year, expense items according to the presented planned calculation will be additionally analyzed, — said Olga Lyavoshka, Deputy Chairwoman of the Economy Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

She drew attention to why passengers are obliged to pay for the trip and have a receipt confirming the fact of payment for the fare.
More than 60 private carriers operate in Minsk, serving fifty routes. If drivers are dishonest and take cash from people but do not issue receipts, such a situation can lead to the route becoming unprofitable for the carrier, which could end in a fare increase.
