Armored ambulances have begun to be used in Russia's Belgorod region. The region's governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, handed over two such vehicles to the authorities of the bordering Grayvoron district, and these are the first such vehicles in the region, writes Kommersant.

The manufacturer of the vehicles is not directly mentioned in the article, but the published photos show the emblem of the Belarusian Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) on them.
It is reported that these vehicles are equipped with additional protection against drones — special structures, and the medical teams working in them have received helmets and bulletproof vests.

Previously, ordinary ambulances also began to be equipped with drone protection here. In addition, the region is considering the possibility of using armored transport for evacuating people in dangerous areas and plans further security enhancements, including the creation of special "corridors" for protection against drones along roads.
