The pilot, reportedly, was found alive by American special forces. Since the F-15E aircraft is a two-seater, the search and rescue operation continues – there is still another crew member being sought.
Israel is also participating in these searches, providing intelligence data that helps determine the possible location of the still-missing pilot.
US President Donald Trump's press secretary Caroline Leavitt reported that he was informed about the incident with the downed plane.
Previously, information emerged that Iran had for the first time since the start of the conflict managed to shoot down an American F-35 fighter jet. It was reportedly shot down on the morning of April 3 over the central regions of the country. However, later, Western experts, after studying the published photographs of the wreckage, concluded that it was not an F-35, but another model — an F-15.
In Iran, an emergency broadcast was made on all state television channels, during which money was offered for the head of the American pilot who managed to eject.
