Lukashenka Rushed: The Kremlin Refused to Congratulate Péter Magyar

Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kremlin will not send congratulations to Péter Magyar and his 'Tisza' party.

— We do not send congratulations to unfriendly countries. And Hungary is an unfriendly country; it supports sanctions against us, — explained the spokesperson for the Russian President.

To a clarification on whether this means Moscow was friends exclusively with Orbán, Peskov replied: «We maintained a dialogue with him».

Alexander Lukashenka, however, already congratulated the leader of the 'Tisza' party, Péter Magyar, on his victory in the parliamentary elections.

«I am confident that the traditions of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, which have formed over many years between Minsk and Budapest, must continue,» — he noted.

Lukashenka wished Magyar health and success.
