The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus appealed to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia with a request to protect Belarusian producers and consumers from cases of incorrect labeling of goods on the Russian market.

This refers to situations where goods are sold in Russia that are presented as Belarusian, although they are not actually so. In some cases, according to the agency, the products may be manufactured in Russia itself or even in China, but are sold under the guise of "Belarusian."
At the same time, elements are used that create the impression of Belarusian origin: images of the red-green flag, inscriptions like "Made in Belarus" or "Belarusian goods," as well as inaccurate information about the country of manufacture.
It is separately noted that during the analysis of Russian online platforms, such as Wildberries and Ozon, more than 25 items of similar products were found. Among them are mentioned goods under the brand "Bat'kin rezerv" and other names that can create the illusion of Belarusian origin.
MART believes that such practices can harm both the reputation of Belarusian producers and mislead consumers, therefore it asks the Russian antimonopoly body to take appropriate measures.
