A 57-year-old resident of the Borisov district lost the license plate from his passenger car but did not report it to the traffic police. Instead, he decided to make a new plate himself. The man removed the plate from his truck, painted over the old symbols, and manually drew the necessary letters and numbers, after which he placed the altered plate on the passenger car and continued to drive it.
This violation was discovered by chance: at one of the gas stations in Staryya Darohi, a passerby noticed the suspicious plate and reported it to the police. After verification, it turned out that the plate was counterfeit.
A criminal case has been initiated against the man for forging a vehicle registration plate. The penalty for this ranges from a fine to imprisonment for up to two years.
