Terrorist Anders Breivik has changed his well-known name. He is now called Jan Johansen — this is the most common combination of first and last name in Norway, writes "European Pravda".

The change was officially approved in the national register.
According to data from the Norwegian statistical office, at the end of 2025, 599 people had the first and last name Jan Johansen.
This is not the first time Breivik has changed his name. He was previously registered as Fjar Skaldigrim Rauskjoldr af Nartryk, and before that — as Fjotolf Hansen.
His lawyer declined to comment on this change, as well as the motives for choosing the new name.
Anders Breivik went down in history as the perpetrator of one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Europe. He killed 77 people during attacks on the island of Utøya and in Oslo on July 22, 2011.
In August 2012, he was sentenced to the most severe punishment in Norway — 21 years in prison.
