The main innovation will be the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the educational process. Students will not only get acquainted with the capabilities of modern AI services but also learn how to use them correctly and safely.

The program is designed for 139 academic hours – one hour per week in each of the four grades. It covers six main areas, including algorithmization, programming, computer modeling, and working with information technologies.

The main emphasis will be on practical skills. Schoolchildren will apply digital knowledge to solve problems in mathematics, physics, biology, and geography, which should contribute to the development of functional literacy.

A separate section is dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence. Students will learn to formulate effective queries for AI systems, verify the accuracy of the information received, work with texts, audio, and video materials, and analyze the results offered by digital tools.

The program also includes the basics of cybersecurity. Schoolchildren will study rules for protecting personal data, methods for recognizing internet fraud and deepfakes, network etiquette norms, responsible use of artificial intelligence, and copyright compliance.

In addition, students will be introduced to Belarusian educational IT resources.

The Ministry of Education noted that after mastering the new program, schoolchildren will acquire modern skills in information analysis, working with cloud services, creating multimedia content, and will also develop algorithmic thinking necessary for further education and professional activities.
