The European Humanities University confirmed that it will conduct an admissions campaign, however, it does not plan special informational activities for Belarusian applicants amid threats from the Belarusian authorities.

As reported to Belsat by the university, the university continues to enroll students, as representatives from various countries study there. At the same time, EHU noted that it would take into account the actions of the Belarusian authorities.
«Students from various countries study at EHU, so an admissions campaign for potential students will be organized. However, considering the actions of the Belarusian authorities and potential threats to citizens of that country, the university does not plan targeted events for the Belarusian audience,» — stated in the university's response to Belsat.
It was also noted that in general communication, students would be advised to «very responsibly assess the possible risks associated with the decisions of their state institutions».
EHU emphasizes that the university operates in Lithuania and is protected by Lithuanian and European legislation, and this protection also extends to Belarusian citizens.
«We remind you that EHU operates in Lithuania, is protected and secured by Lithuanian and European legislation. Belarusian citizens who legally work and study in Lithuania are also protected by Lithuanian legislation,» — the message states.
EHU has been operating in Vilnius since 2004 after its closure in Minsk and remains one of the key educational centers for Belarusian students.
