Man to be tried in Minsk for 'denial of genocide of the Belarusian people'
A resident of Minsk allegedly denied the 'Generalplan Ost' in Threads — he will be tried for 'denial of genocide of the Belarusian people,' Viasna has learned .

During interrogation, the 56-year-old man stated that he tried to find the original text of the document online, but, failing to find it, concluded that the existence of Hitler's Generalplan Ost was invented by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
He also allegedly claimed that atrocities against civilians during World War II, including children and women, were "nothing more than a reaction of the Nazis to the partisan movement and resistance."
The man has been charged under Part 1 of Article 130-2 of the Criminal Code (denial of genocide of the Belarusian people). A pre-trial detention measure has been applied to him.
