The European Union refused to evacuate its diplomats from Kyiv after Russia's threats. Earlier, Sergey Lavrov contacted US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and stated that American citizens should leave the Ukrainian capital, Bild reports.
"Russia is again threatening diplomats and foreigners and demanding that we leave Kyiv. But we are not going anywhere! Russia wants fear. Panic. Isolation of Ukraine. It will not work. Europe is not going anywhere. We are staying in Kyiv. We are staying with Ukraine," EU Ambassador to Kyiv Katarína Mathernová responded.
