Belarusian Kupalle in Vilnius will take place on the Neris River
As it has already become a tradition, it is organized by the Belarusian club "Siabryna" and the creative association "Belarusian Tsud".
The tradition of Vilnius Belarusians celebrating the Kupalle holiday on the banks of the Viliya (Neris river), which flows through Vilnius, was established back in 1911 and renewed by "Siabryna" in 2013.
This year you can expect:
- performances by the bands BaranÁ, "Oyra"
- wreath weaving
- searching for the fern flower
- Belarusian folk dances
- Kupalle krupnik
The celebration will take place: June 24 (Wednesday) at 17:00
Participation is free;
Location: behind the 2nd beach in Valakupiai (Valakampiai).
It is recommended to check the weather on the day of the celebration, and also to bring a blanket and picnic food.
