Bradbury's novel "Fahrenheit 451" to be published in Belarusian

The "Yanuskevich" publishing house has announced pre-orders for Ray Bradbury's book "Fahrenheit 451" translated into Belarusian.

The cult work was translated by Nasta Karnatskaya, and edited by Katsiaryna Matsieuskaya. Tatsiana Shustava was responsible for the cover design, writes bellit.info.

451° Fahrenheit is the temperature at which paper ignites. And it's the title of one of Ray Bradbury's most famous novels, set in a grim, dystopian future.

"Guy Montag is a firefighter. His job is to destroy the most forbidden commodity: printed books, and along with them, the houses where they are hidden. Montag never questions the destruction and devastation his work brings. Every day he returns to his monotonous life and his wife Mildred, who spends her days with her television "family." But everything changes when Montag meets the eccentric young neighbor Clarisse. She reveals to him a past when people didn't live in fear, and shows him a present where the world can be viewed through ideas hidden in books, not through senseless television chatter. And then Montag begins to doubt everything he had considered an unwavering truth until now."

Sales are expected to begin on September 30th. You can now order the book on the publisher's website.
