Viva Braslav is already tomorrow, but Belarusians rushed to return or resell tickets — what's the catch?

Tickets for the event cost from 69 to 760 rubles, depending on the chosen package.

On the eve of the Viva Braslav festival, which will take place from July 24 to 26, many Belarusians began to return or try to resell their tickets. What is behind such behavior?

This year, Dima Bilan will be the main headliner of the festival. Other Russian artists will also perform on stage at the Braslav lakes: Mot, Vanya Dmitrienko, "Komnata Kultury", "Davai na Ty". Among Belarusians, singer LYRIQ is announced. Tickets for the event are not cheap — from 69 to 760 rubles, depending on the chosen package.

Many explain their unwillingness to even come to the festival precisely by the "boring lineup."

"Festivals in Belarus have lost their exclusivity. Who is interested in listening to the same people a hundred times?"

"The artists performing there have already visited Belarus a hundred times. The organizers' bookings have become uninteresting";

"Recently, my acquaintance, who lives in Europe, posted stories from a festival where Moby and Gorillaz were. Now that's what I call a festival!"

"I don't go to see Russians."

But why are people getting rid of already purchased tickets, they knew what they were buying?

It turns out that people hoped that closer to the start of the event, someone more interesting would appear in the lineup. But when this didn't happen, the motivation disappeared. Moreover, the high cost of accommodation in the festival area became a big problem. Some couldn't even find a place to stay overnight for a large sum of money.

"A tent is not an option for me, and I couldn't find accommodation at an adequate price," one Belarusian shared on Threads.

Some people were deterred by potential rain: at the moment, rain is forecast for Friday and Saturday in Braslav. And for others, plans or life circumstances simply changed — this happens with all festivals for which tickets are purchased far in advance.

Some even sell tickets on "Kufar" with a markup to earn a little extra.

Meanwhile, the organizers of Viva Braslav themselves are in a positive mood.

"We continue the setup in a positive vibe and await equally positive guests," wrote Oleg Labut, the founder of the festival, on his social networks.

Earlier, in an interview with journalists, Labut said that visitors to this year's festival can expect some innovations. For example, for the first time, a so-called quiet camping will operate, where silence rules will apply from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Another novelty will be a separate stage in the tent city.

The organizers also promised to expand the sports zone, and for those who wish to get acquainted with the region, they would prepare excursion programs around the Braslav district.
