Aleh Makarchuk and Aliaksei Harabets graduated from the school in 1990 and studied in the same, 3rd company: Makarchuk – in the 2nd platoon, Harabets – in the 3rd. After school, both continued their military education in Kharkiv, reports the Telegram channel "Vitebsk, I'm walking!".
Makarchuk became a colonel of the Air Force of Ukraine and died on July 14, 2022, in Vinnytsia. Harabets commanded the Russian 20th Guards Motorized Rifle Division and died on July 9 of the same year, probably as a result of a Ukrainian strike near Chornobaivka. The classmates found themselves on opposite sides of the war and died only five days apart.
