In the Ryazan region, drone debris hit the territory of an industrial enterprise and damaged residential buildings. Russian authorities do not name the attacked facility, but local public channels claim that an oil refinery was burning.
On the night of September 6, drones attacked the Ryazan and Rostov regions of Russia.
Governor of the Ryazan region Pavel Malkov reported that drone debris damaged residential buildings, and a fire started on the territory of one of the enterprises. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties.
Local residents are publishing videos with fire and a pillar of smoke. Monitoring channels claim that the Ryazan Oil Refinery could have been hit.
The fact that drones attacked the Ryazan Oil Refinery is also evidenced by OSINT analysis from the ASTRA publication.
The Ryazan Oil Refinery belongs to Rosneft and is considered one of Russia's largest oil refining enterprises. Its capacity is about 17 million tons of oil per year.
The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil, liquefied gases, bitumen, and raw materials for the petrochemical industry.
This is not the first attack on the enterprise in 2026. Drones had already struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery in May and July. After the July attack, the plant suspended oil processing.
There is no official confirmation of this yet.
Information about a possible attack on an Ozon warehouse has also not been confirmed.
In the Rostov region, according to Governor Yuri Slyusar, air defense forces shot down about 30 drones. In Rostov, two apartment buildings were damaged.
