Minsk man went to work for competitors and demanded a million rubles from his previous job for silence
The man worked at a large cosmetics manufacturing enterprise and for two years collected information about its financial and economic activities.

Having resigned of his own accord, he got a job with competitors and decided to use the collected data to obtain criminal profit, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.
Last month, he began to blackmail the 35-year-old head of the company, demanding a million rubles for not disseminating the information he possessed.
During a subsequent meeting with the victim, he was detained with the forceful support of "Almaz" fighters.
Investigators opened a criminal case for extortion with the aim of obtaining property benefits on a particularly large scale. The man faces up to 15 years in prison.
