A porcini mushroom found near Grodno claims this season's record PHOTO FACT
A resident of Grodno was lucky enough to find a giant porcini mushroom in the forest near the village of Rybnitsa, Grodno district. The man told the Newgrodno.by portal about the find.

At home, the mushroom was weighed. It was only 300 grams short of two kilograms — the porcini mushroom weighed 1.7 kilograms.
What was most surprising was that, despite its size, the mushroom was completely healthy and not worm-eaten. Usually, such a large specimen could already be old and damaged.
They didn't admire the find for long. The porcini mushroom was soon cooked in a pan with potatoes, onions, and sour cream. The mushroom picker noted that it was very delicious.

This is not the first time Belarusians have found large porcini mushrooms this year. In late July, it was reported about a true forest giant that was several times larger than ordinary porcini mushrooms and comparable in size almost to a dog. A regular knife couldn't handle such a find, so the mushroom had to be chopped with an axe.
Another large porcini mushroom was found in the Minsk region. It covered an entire bucket of small mushrooms and weighed 1590 grams.
And recently, Uladzimir Pavialchuk, a resident of Dobrush, found a porcini mushroom with a cap larger than a human head. It could completely cover a 10-liter bucket. The man admitted that he had never encountered such a "monster" before and called this find his record.
