"Until the very end, I didn't know the housing issue could be resolved." Mother of Triplets Shared How She Dared to Ask Lukashenka for Housing

Two weeks after giving birth, on September 10, Angelina recorded a video addressing Alexander Lukashenka. In it, she quoted an excerpt from his speech: "Dear women, give birth to three children — and demand anything you want from me," and then asked for housing in Minsk.

The video went viral on social media. And on September 26, Angelina recorded another video — with words of gratitude for the "housing issue being resolved so quickly and well."

Subscribers immediately had questions about the details: they discussed whether the apartment would belong to the family or if it was rental housing. Now it is definitively known: the apartment belongs to the large family as property, the house is already built, located not far from the center, next to a large beautiful park for walks.

As Angelina recounts, the apartment already features laminate flooring and stretch ceilings, with walls prepared for wallpaper. The family was also provided with a kitchen including a refrigerator, extractor hood, and stove. All that remains is to furnish the rooms and bring in furniture. The parents do not plan to do this immediately with three small children in the new place; instead, they first want to prepare the dwelling for the move. However, they anticipate celebrating New Year there.

"Until the very end, I didn't know that the housing issue could somehow be resolved. The appeal was filmed more out of hope. In the summer, I saw that very video with the words of the head of state, plus it's currently the Year of the Belarusian Woman. When I found out about three girls, I realized: this is definitely my year. That's how two plus two added up.

The only scary moment was when I uploaded the video. But then, within ten minutes, it already had 10-15 thousand views, and I saw positive comments, with people starting to support me. By the way, there were many reactions from other countries: Russia, Kazakhstan. And I understood that I had done everything correctly.

And when videos of other women started appearing, who perhaps gained courage after seeing mine, I felt that I had brought up an important topic," Angelina recounts.

In the comments, people also asked why one would have children if the family didn't own a home. Angelina reminds that the spouses made the decision to have a child considering their capabilities. It was simply the number of future children that turned out to be unexpected. She is skeptical of the idea that one must first buy an apartment and only then become parents.

"We planned for one child and understood that we would manage. When children are born one by one, you make the choice yourself: to give birth or not to give birth, and you understand your financial situation. But here, it was three at once. And if only those who already own an apartment were to have children, that would mean waiting until they're 40+. Honestly, who among young people today can afford to buy an apartment without any help? Unfortunately, I don't know anyone like that."

Some comments went beyond normal discussion. Angelina recalls suggestions to keep only one child instead of three. Such words angered her. But overall, she still considers her audience to be good and supportive.

"If you want to see good, you will read good. If I see a negative comment, I just scroll past it, because for every negative one, there are ten positive ones. When the babies were born and I was alone with them, I didn't even have time to read and react. I might have gotten upset, thinking: "Damn, what evil people." But then one of the little ones would smile at me, and I understood that I have what people who display such anger and bitterness don't. I can only wish them this happiness, and nothing more."

Now Angelina is regularly recognized on the street — sometimes not even herself, but her strollers, which were featured in the news.

"Everyone says only positive and kind words. No one has spat in our direction yet," the girl laughs. "I hope it never happens."
