Authorities announced changes in tax rates for next year. What will change?
Starting from 2027, taxes and fees in Belarus are set to increase. The National Legal Internet Portal published a draft of amendments to the Tax Code, which provides for the indexation of tax rates and certain fixed amounts. The changes will affect both individuals and organizations, as well as individual entrepreneurs, writes Mogilev.in publication.
In particular, it is proposed to increase the minimum tax on professional income, transport tax, tax on the first apartment, and real estate tax.
The tax for renting out housing in Minsk is proposed to be increased from 53 to 56 rubles for each living room in an apartment. In regional centers, it will increase from 49 to 52 rubles, in large cities — from 33 to 35 rubles, and in other settlements — from 20 to 21 rubles.
The fee for keeping dogs may increase from 14 to 15 rubles per quarter. For dog breeds from a special list, the rate will increase from 67 to 71 rubles per quarter.
It is also proposed to increase the transport tax for owners of passenger cars. For individuals, the rate for a car weighing up to 1.5 tons will increase from 75 to 80 rubles per year. For a car weighing more than 1.5, but not more than 1.75 tons, the tax will increase from 99 to 105 rubles, and for a car weighing more than 1.75, but not more than 2 tons, — from 124 to 132 rubles.
The changes will also affect vehicles owned by organizations and individual entrepreneurs. For example, for a passenger car weighing up to one ton, it is proposed to pay 208 rubles instead of 196. For a car weighing from 2 to 3 tons, the rate will increase from 309 to 328 rubles, and for a car heavier than 3 tons — from 393 to 417 rubles.
For trucks weighing up to 2.5 tons, it is proposed to increase the tax from 337 to 358 rubles. For a bus with a capacity of more than 40 passengers, organizations will pay 655 rubles instead of 617.
The increase will also affect high-comfort cars, for which a tenfold transport tax rate is provided, as well as certain categories of motorcycles subject to a fivefold rate.
The new amounts are not yet approved. They are contained in the draft amendments to the Tax Code for 2027 and may change before the document is adopted.
