Head of Minsk: There are already enough shopping centers in the capital
Minsk does not plan to build new large shopping centers in the near future. This was stated by Vladimir Kukharev, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, during a meeting with the staff of OJSC "Elema", writes the "Minsk-news" agency.

According to Vladimir Kukharev, for several years now, plots for the construction of such facilities have not been put up for auction in the capital. Currently, more than 100 large shopping centers are operating in Minsk, relatively evenly distributed throughout the city.
Instead of large complexes, the city authorities prefer small shops and retail outlets within walking distance of residential buildings.
As Kukharev clarified, there are currently about 11.5 thousand various shops operating in the capital where one can buy necessary goods.
