Pimpernel bloomed in Belovezhskaya Pushcha in December

In the national park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", primroses — pimpernel flowers — were spotted in December.

"Excessively high temperatures or their fluctuation causes a disturbance in the dormant period of plants, which results in untimely bud opening, flowering, and leaf appearance," said specialists of the national park.

Pimpernel is a perennial herbaceous plant that usually blooms in April-May.
