Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk made a prediction regarding a ceasefire in Ukraine before Christmas on December 25, noting that it is most likely unlikely. He said this in an interview with the Onet portal.

Answering whether he sees any prospects for a possible ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia before the holidays, he stated that "the Russians are probably not very interested in peace talks or a ceasefire right now".
"Therefore, even greater pressure is needed and a demonstration that we, as the West, will indeed not allow ourselves to be divided. And then these negotiations could take a concrete form. But before Christmas, this seems very unlikely to me," Tusk emphasized.
