Tsapkala responded to Kohl. And pretended he wasn't caught in a lie
Shortly after US President's Special Representative John Kohl disputed on social network X any involvement of Valery Tsapkala, current advisor to the Albanian Investment Corporation, in the recent release of Belarusian political prisoners, Tsapkala himself responded with his own post.

Tsapkala, however, did not admit to overstating his role. Instead, he made it seem as if Kohl had merely confirmed what he had said earlier:
"Indeed. That is exactly what I emphasized in the interview."
He did not, however, go into detail, but instead immediately moved on to compliment Donald Trump and criticize Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya:
"President Trump was the only head of state who responded to the appeals of Nobel laureates and facilitated the release of political prisoners.
What truly angered me was that the so-called Tsikhanouskaya's Office, through all the media it controls, presented this achievement as a result of its five years of work, and portrayed the United States in only a supporting role."
Valery Tsapkala did not provide any quotes or references to support this claim.
