In recent days, specialists have determined the order of demolition work and completed the preparation of the area around the house. Currently, equipment is being prepared, delivered, and set up. According to the official, all work is organized according to schedule, and no significant problems have arisen.
Dismantling is planned to begin on the morning of December 22, around 9 AM. Rescuers, design organizations, and other services will be involved in the work. If no additional complications arise, the damaged part of the building is planned to be disassembled down to the fifth floor within two days. After this, specialists will conduct a detailed inspection of the structures to determine the further fate of the house.
Due to the danger during the demolition, residents of entrances 1 and 2 of house No. 3, as well as entrance 6 of house No. 5 on Kosarova Street, have been asked to temporarily vacate their apartments until the morning of December 22. Authorities emphasize that this is necessary for safety, as it is impossible to fully predict the behavior of panels and building structures.
For temporary accommodation, dormitories with approximately 200 beds have been prepared in the city. In addition, 29 residents of the affected entrance have already been accommodated in a hotel, where hot meals are provided. Among those settled are families with children.
Recall that on December 17, floor slabs collapsed in one of the entrances of a ten-story building on Kosarova Street. The cause was an explosion of a gas-air mixture in an apartment on the seventh floor.
