Head of Production at MAZ-Kupava Plant Sentenced for Politics. His German Shepherd is the Same Mukhtar from the TV Series
Dmitry Dovgal dedicated more than 20 years to the plant: he started as a mechanic and became a manager. He also owns a dog, Norris, who acts in films — including the TV series «Mukhtar's Return» and «Red Dog». But recently, Dmitry was sentenced for «facilitating extremist activities».

Dmitry Dovgal is 49 years old. He first received his education at the capital's automotive mechanical technical school, and then graduated from the Belarusian National Technical University with a degree in «Organization of Movement and Management in Transport».
In 2002, he started as an assembly mechanic at the MAZ-Kupava plant. This is a well-known Belarusian enterprise specializing in the production of isothermal vans, trailers, and mobile shops.
Dovgal soon began to advance in his career: he became an engineer, foreman, and section head. Since 2014, Dmitry held the position of head of body production and managed the production and dispatch department of the enterprise.
Dmitry is an animal lover, he is the owner of the famous German Shepherd named Norris. This dog is a true screen star: he played the role of Mukhtar in the famous TV series «Mukhtar's Return. A New Trail». Dmitry's pet also starred in the war drama «Red Dog» and other films.

Dmitry enjoys running and loves to travel. He has a wife and a minor child.
The verdict for Dmitry was delivered by the Minsk Regional Court. He was found guilty under parts 1 and 2 of Article 361‑4 of the Criminal Code («Facilitating extremist activities»). It seems the persecution is related to the Hayun case.
The exact term of imprisonment is unknown, but the verdict has already come into force. This could be either a penal colony or a «chemistry» sentence with referral.
