Russian television found Steve Rosenberg among the journalists gathered for the press conference. It turned out it wasn't him at all
While preparing for a live Q&A with Vladimir Putin, a propagandist from the First Channel interviewed a man she introduced as the famous British BBC journalist Steve Rosenberg.

During the broadcast, the presenter noted that many foreign journalists were present at the event. She approached one of the men, called him Steve Rosenberg, and asked a question about Putin's upcoming press conference. The propagandist also stated that "Steve" had already had multiple opportunities to ask questions to the Russian president.
It later turned out that it was not Steve Rosenberg, but another person.
I didn't know I had a body double...Russian TV clearly thinks I do. At Vladimir Putin's press conference a reporter did a live interview with 'Steve Rosenberg' (but it wasn't me). pic.twitter.com/os0RIfFRc2
The real Steve Rosenberg wrote on social media platform X that he did not participate in this interview and ironically remarked that Russian television apparently believes he has a doppelganger.
