Zmitser published a photo with his wife and four children on his Instagram.
Zmitser Dashkevich was released on September 11, 2025. He was among the 51 deported political prisoners who were expelled to Lithuania.
Zmitser was detained in the autumn of 2021. He was sentenced to a penal colony, while Nasta simultaneously received home confinement. After the completion of his term, Zmitser was not released; he was twice given an additional year of imprisonment under Article 411.
Previously, he was twice prosecuted in criminal cases: in 2006, he was sentenced to one year and six months, and in 2011, he was sentenced to two years, but later an additional term was added for "malicious disobedience to the demands of the penal colony administration." He got married behind bars. The couple has four children.
