From January 22, electric vehicles can be imported duty-free into Belarus
The decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on granting a tariff benefit in the form of exemption from customs duty payment for electric vehicles imported into Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan will come into force on January 22, BelTA writes.

From the same date, acts of the EEC on amending the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) regarding certain types of vehicles come into force.
Exemption from customs duties is granted only to citizens permanently residing in the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, and the Kyrgyz Republic. At the same time, the transfer of rights of ownership, use, and disposal of electric vehicles to persons with citizenship and (or) permanent residence in Russia and Kazakhstan is not permitted.
