Litesound made it to the superfinal of the talent competition in Lithuania
Tonight at 20:30 Minsk time – audience voting.
The band members wrote on Threads that the group reached the superfinal.
«I am from Belarus and made it to the superfinal of Lithuania's Got Talent with my band. Almost no one knows us in Lithuania. What do you think, do we have a chance to win the audience vote? The superfinal is today, Sunday,» — wrote Vladimir Karakin, one of the vocalists.
He was told that he should write the Threads post in Belarusian, then the support would be completely different.
«Good idea! I'll write another Threads post tomorrow :)» — he replied.
In March 2023, the Karakin brothers and their parents were sent to home confinement under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (Organization and preparation of actions grossly violating public order, or active participation in them) and Part 2 of Art. 295 of the Criminal Code (Illegal actions in relation to firearms, ammunition, and explosives, punishable by up to seven years of imprisonment).
The musicians and their mother were sentenced to two and a half years, and their father to three years. The elder Karakin suffered a stroke in the pre-trial detention center and has been at home since then. The other family members were held in the Valadarski pre-trial detention center before the verdict.
«Although we are in Lithuania, we have to be very careful with our words. We are here with our mother, but our father has not yet been released,» — said Vladimir Karakin, one of the vocalists, on Lithuanian television.
The Litesound band represented Belarus at Eurovision in 2012.
