Pochobut Refused to Talk to the Lackeys — Neither Pratasevich Nor Vaskrasenski
Yes, it seems to have coincided, but on the very same day, the two most well-known defectors from the democratic camp to the pro-government one, Raman Pratasevich and Yury Vaskrasenski, shared stories about how they wanted to find a way to political prisoner journalist Andrei Pochobut, but he categorically rejected them.

Andrei Pochobut at the trial
Raman Pratasevich told his story during a broadcast on propagandist Ryhor Azarenok's program, when he asked his opinion on what would happen next with Andrei Pochobut in the course of a possible dialogue between Lukashenka's regime and Poland.
"I can only say that some time ago I tried to meet with that very citizen (meaning Andrei Pochobut — Ed. note), but he categorically refused to meet, started speaking obscenely, and so on. That's where that whole story ended," Pratasevich said in response.
Yury Vaskrasenski told a practically identical story during today's conversation with human rights activist Leanid Sudalenka:
"I met with Pochobut at the Investigative Committee, in the presence of Poland's interim chargé d'affaires. How he lashed out, started insulting, yelling! That is, he behaved like a sociopath. Although I had never seen him before in my life. I never did anything bad to him, never wished him ill."
It is worth noting that Vaskrasenski told a similar story back in April 2023, and even then it had already happened "about a year and a half ago." When Pratasevich made his attempt is unknown, but it can be assumed that it might have taken place about a year ago, when the authorities tried to use this blogger for propaganda purposes involving key political prisoners. It was then that fragments of his conversation with Viktar Babaryka were aired.
In any case, it appears that Andrei Pochobut perfectly understands the insignificance of both Vaskrasenski's and Pratasevich's figures, and therefore categorically avoids any contact with them.
