The top spot in the ranking might surprise you.

Pro-Russian activist Volha Bondareva became the most popular figure among Belarusians in the Belarusian-language Wikipedia in 2025.
The biographical article about the informer garnered 7281 views in a year, according to the study 'Digital Barometer of Belarus'.
It is likely that such interest in the article about Bondareva is due, among other things, to the fact that her biography is not available in the Russian-language Wikipedia. The informer even surpassed Alexander Lukashenka: he is in second place here with 6306 views. The top three is rounded out by Information Minister Marat Markau — he has 3403 views.
Also making it into the top five are political prisoner journalist Andrzej Poczobut — his page was opened 2895 times — and political scientist Roza Turarbekava, who has 2506 views.
Patriarch of the Belarusian movement Zianon Pazniak is sixth (1805), followed closely by propagandist Ihar Tur (1880). Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is in eighth place with a result of 1871. At the end of the top ten are Nobel laureate Svetlana Alexievich (1713) and founder of the 'White Legion' Siarhei Bulba (1701).
In the second ten are journalist Aliaksandr Ivulin, politician and political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich, Nobel laureate and human rights defender Ales Bialiatski, writer Uladzimir Niakliayeu, politician and blogger Siarhei Tsikhanouski, tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, propagandist Liudmila Hladkaya, Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn, and playwright Mikalai Khalezin. The top 20 is rounded out by propagandist Andrei Mukavozchyk.
The authors of the study analyzed Wikipedia page data using the Pageviews Analysis resource. They emphasize that page visit data reflects only the level of informational interest, not audience sympathy or antipathy. High view counts can be caused by support for a person's activities, as well as strong disapproval or sudden interest provoked by their activity in the public sphere.
