What are they for?

On the road near Minsk, 'Berlin cushions' were installed. They appeared on the Kalodziščy—Zaslaŭje route near Novaja Baravaja, according to the State Automobile Inspectorate (SAI). Such road elements force only certain types of transport to reduce speed, without impeding the movement of others.
How does it work? Cars reduce speed because their wheels drive onto the cushion. Trucks and buses drive smoothly because their wheelbase is wider and they do not touch it. Motorcyclists and cyclists calmly bypass the cushion along the edge.
