Alexander Lukashenka has signed a decree that defines new rules for trade, public catering, and household services in rural areas, writes BelTA.

The document aims to provide villagers with a normal selection of goods and services, as well as proper quality of service. Simultaneously, the authorities want to make working in rural areas more profitable for businesses. Special tax conditions are provided for this.
More precise requirements will be introduced for mobile shops. Their routes, schedules, and stopping points will have to be approved in advance. Thus, villagers will know where and when to expect the vehicle with goods.
The procedure for selling real estate intended for trade and household services in rural areas should also become simpler.
Personal responsibility for providing rural residents with goods and services will be assigned to the chairmen of regional and district executive committees, as well as heads of trade organizations. They will be directly responsible for ensuring that the needs of villagers are met.
Previous regulatory documents that governed trade, public catering, and household services in rural areas have become invalid.
