"We proceed from the premise that the more passports are issued, the more chances there are for recognition."

The New Belarus Passport began to be issued in 2025 (the document price is 97 euros). Last year, almost 500 people received it. This figure was announced by Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya during hearings at the Coordination Council.
The passport has not yet received formal recognition, but there are cases where it helped people in the legalization process, Tsikhanouskaya noted.
This year, the United Transitional Cabinet will continue to work on the recognition of this passport. "We proceed from the premise that the more passports are issued, the more chances there are for recognition," Tsikhanouskaya said.
