Oleg Zykov was born in 1993. He was mainly raised by his grandmother.
According to Belpol databases, Zykov committed his first crime on August 13, 2011, at the age of 17. In Vitebsk's Frunze Park, he stole a mobile phone from a local teacher's daughter while his acquaintance distracted her.
Zykov committed his second crime a few hours later — he stole money from an acquaintance when she came to his home.
Zykov hoped that they wouldn't manage to find him before he returned from vacation to the Moscow vocational school where he studied, but that didn't happen.
Indeed, the court did not send him to a penal colony then. A year later, Zykov gave the court a second chance to make the right decision by beating a person to severe bodily harm.
Recently, Zykov was "working" (moonlighting) in the Russian army. His unit was sent to repel a Ukrainian attack last spring. Zykov did not return from this assignment and stopped making contact.
