From February 16 to August 14, it is forbidden to destroy bird nests, as well as to cut down trees where they are located. These measures are introduced to avoid disturbing birds during the nesting period and to prevent the destruction of chicks along with their nests.

The ban applies to everyone — both ordinary citizens and utility service employees. Even if birds are considered harmful, worsen the sanitary condition of settlements, or create inconvenience for people, their nests cannot be touched during this period.

Significant fines are provided for violations: for individuals — from 10 to 30 basic units, for individual entrepreneurs — from 10 to 100, and for legal entities — from 20 to 500 basic units. In addition, offenders will have to compensate for the damage caused to the environment.
