On the evening of September 2, in the Logoisk district, a young man decided to film a video of setting fire to a straw sculpture near the agro-town of Ostroshytsy, writes "Minskaya Pravda".
As reported by the Logoisk District Department of the Investigative Committee, before this, the guy drank wine and beer and then went to meet an acquaintance at the bus stop. On the way, he behaved aggressively and harassed passers-by.
Eventually, the young man decided to stage a "fire show". He asked an acquaintance to film him, after which he set fire to the straw figure with a lighter.
"Folks, today we're going to set something on fire. Watch carefully," says the man in the video.
Although he hid his face under a hood, it didn't help him. His identity was established on the morning of September 3 thanks to that very recording.
A criminal case for hooliganism was initiated against the young man. For this, he could face community service or correctional labor, a fine, arrest, restriction of liberty for up to two years, or deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years.
