The first Belarusian marketplace started using the new graphic symbol of the Belarusian ruble
One of the Belarusian marketplaces has started using the new graphic symbol of the Belarusian ruble, as noticed by Telegraf.by.

The first trading platform to switch to the new graphic symbol of the Belarusian ruble, officially approved by the National Bank in early February, was the Emall marketplace.
Now, on the virtual storefront of the trading platform, instead of the usual BYN or "rub.", a new symbol is displayed — a large Cyrillic letter "Б" with a horizontal stroke.
Upon first opening the page, a notification is displayed to the user: «New currency designation. Meet the new symbol of the Belarusian ruble. It replaces the familiar 'r.'». Discussions about the symbol's aesthetics and appropriateness began on social networks.

«Today on Emall I saw the new Belarusian ruble symbol in circulation for the first time. It evokes very unambiguous emotions… Belarusians, what do you think about this issue?» — shared a user with the nickname agness.karpach.
Comments ensued:
- «It's just unusual) but the symbol itself is quite interesting)»
- «At least it's convenient.»
The marketplace itself joined the comments and stated:
«Now in threads, Kazakhs will immediately understand that the branch is Belarusian :)»
The publication reminds: the problem with introducing the new graphic symbol of the Belarusian ruble lies primarily in the fact that it is not yet officially in Unicode.
Only after the new symbol receives its own unique numerical code in the international standard for character codes, will it be possible to use it just as easily and conveniently in print.
