Midfielder of the First League football club "Maladziečna" Yassin Bara shared his impressions of the off-season weather, reports "Belarusian Football".
— This current off-season is one of the coldest in recent years. Even we ourselves did not expect such weather. How are you experiencing the Belarusian winter?
— For me, this is just a shock. I see -30° in winter for the first time — I didn't even know that such a thing happens.
It's very difficult for me. It takes a minute to walk somewhere, and my whole face and fingers freeze. It's good that we have good conditions in "Maladziečna", we train in an indoor arena. This is a very big plus.
It was very difficult to start the first friendly game. Everything freezes on me — my face, fingers, eyes also freeze. Of course, you have to get used to it, but it's especially not easy for me.
I wear two pairs of thermal underwear, a hat — everything I have to keep warm. Some partners joke, but in a good way. They say: "Well, what did you think? This is Belarus!" Now I understand that well (laughs), — said Bara.
Yassin Bara has been playing in Belarus for several years now. He played for "Miory", where temperatures close to the minimum in Belarus are sometimes recorded in winter, "ML Vitebsk", "Astravets". He moved to "Maladziečna" in winter. But this winter is the coldest since 2016.
