Small shops obliged to sell pet food

According to new rules introduced by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, shops with an area of less than 50 square meters and from 50 to 99 "square meters" will be obliged to offer pet food to customers.

In addition, MART (Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade) expanded the range of rapeseed oil that must be on sale and made adjustments to some product positions. For example, "diabetic chocolate" has been replaced with "sugar-free chocolate".

The new rules will come into force on May 18, 2026.
