Reportedly, the man took his mother's surname, obtained a new passport, and continued to travel abroad under different personal details. From February 2024 to January 2026, he crossed the border at least ten times — through the Terespol border crossing and through Warsaw Airport.
However, he was eventually exposed and detained. The trial took place in Poland. The 41-year-old man was found guilty of multiple illegal border crossings using deception. All these instances were considered by the court as one continuous offense.
The Belarusian was sentenced to six months of imprisonment, suspended for two years. This means that if he does not commit new offenses, he will not go to prison, but in case of repetition, the consequences will be much more serious.
