33 Illegal Migrants Turned Back at the Lithuanian-Belarusian Border

At the border with Belarus, Lithuanian border guards turned back 33 illegal migrants who tried to cross the border illegally over the past day, LRT reports with reference to the State Border Guard Service.
Latvian border guards turned back 65 illegal migrants on Sunday, while Polish officials did not record such cases on Saturday.
Since the beginning of 2026, 285 illegal migrants have not been allowed into Lithuania, with a record 35 people on Saturday night. Last year, more than 1.6 thousand attempts to illegally enter the country from Belarus were recorded, and 1002 in 2024.
