This number is decreasing.

As of September 1, 2026, there are 227 thousand foreigners with residence permits in Lithuania. This is 9,932 people more than at the beginning of the year (+4.6%). In August, the number increased by 2,807 people, writes "Volna" with reference to the Department of Migration.
The largest group is Ukrainians, with 80,312 people living in Lithuania. Next are Belarusians — 47,872 people. The number of Belarusian citizens has decreased by 2,414 people (−4.8%) since the beginning of the year, and by 411 people in August.
Other groups:
- Citizens of Russia — 13,272;
- Uzbekistan — 12,617;
- India — 9,441;
- Tajikistan — 7,473;
- Philippines — 5,612;
- Kyrgyzstan — 4,711;
- Azerbaijan — 4,543;
- Kazakhstan — 3,837.
At the same time, the number of citizens of Uzbekistan has grown by almost 20% since the beginning of the year, and India by 19%. The number of citizens from the Philippines more than doubled: 5,612 compared to 2,734 in January.
