According to MART, Belarusian Railway introduced unjustified restrictions on the purchase of seats on interregional and regional business-class trains. In particular, the number of tickets to or from intermediate stations was limited, and the period for advance sales was reduced.
For example, 45 days before departure, it was not possible to buy a ticket to Bobruisk for the Minsk — Gomel train, although tickets to the final station (Gomel) were available at the same time. Sometimes tickets to intermediate stations appeared only a day or less before departure.
MART noted that such actions show signs of violating legislation on natural monopolies.
As a result, Belarusian Railway must cancel these restrictions and bring ticket sales into compliance with the law.
