«We will control Moscow». Former Vice-Premier of Chechnya stated that Muslims are ready to seize power in Russia

Muslims living in Moscow are ready at the right moment to take power into their own hands, to establish the kind of power that will be convenient for them, so that Russia no longer harms neighboring countries and peoples. Ruslan Kutayev, president of the Assembly of Caucasian Peoples, who served as Vice-Premier of Chechnya in 1996–97 and later was an assistant for special assignments to Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov, stated this in an interview with the channel «Різні люди» (Different People), writes The Moscow Times.
According to Kutayev, who in early 2026 joined the Platform of Russian Democratic Forces at PACE, millions of Muslims live in Moscow, spending time in «gyms», training and will come out to the barricades at the right moment.
«We will not just return – first, we will work in Moscow. We will establish a government there that is convenient for us. Why? Because today up to 15 million people live in Moscow. 5 million are visitors, 10 million are people with registration. Of these, 3.5–4 million are people who profess Islam, practice Islam, Caucasians and representatives of Asian peoples. Excellent relations have been built with all the leaders of Asian peoples in the Assembly of Caucasian Peoples. And at time X, when it will be necessary to act in Russia, we will act,» said Kutayev.
According to him, behind those who rely on «American and British money» to govern Russia stand «little students who will walk around with flashlights». «What is behind us? People who, if necessary, will tear off a head, and knock off a skull, and go to the barricades, and build a barricade,» said Kutayev.
«We will control Moscow so that Moscow does not show off and does not harm neighboring peoples and neighboring states. Only this way, and no other way will work,» he added.
According to Kutayev, «chaos» is taking place in Russia, no one «trusts the authorities».
«From various regions, not to mention the Caucasus, from Russian regions, my assistants receive messages from people every day about what is happening on the counters, what is being said on buses, what is happening on the streets. No one believes Putin. Everyone knows that Putin has lost,» said Kutayev.
At the same time, when the division of power begins, it will be necessary to «agree with us, with the peoples whom we have united in Moscow,» he emphasized. «Because we will be the main force determining how events will unfold in Moscow. We are just waiting. We are just waiting for this condition to occur. And there are many of us, very many of us».
