"America's Golden Age." Trump praised his work at the Republican convention
The US President concluded the Republican Party convention in Dallas with a call to go to the polls and a series of statements about his own successes.
After Vice President J.D. Vance's speech, Trump again approached the microphone and stated that under Joe Biden, the US was a "laughingstock for the whole world," and his administration transformed "America's dark era" into a "golden one," writes Bild.
Trump also praised the state of the American economy, citing 80 stock market records, a strong job market, and the fulfillment of election promises. However, markets remain nervous: the S&P 500 index declined for the fourth consecutive session the day before, and oil traded above $100 per barrel.
Separately, the president drew attention to the full attendance at the American Airlines Center arena, designed for approximately 20,000 people. He initially stated that "there were no free seats," but the upper tiers were largely empty.
At the end of his speech, Trump called on supporters to "go and vote."
Then, opera singer Christopher Macchio performed "America the Beautiful" on stage, and balloons began to fall from the ceiling.
